The Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our Technology Team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of high-quality, scalable solutions across multiple projects. You will work on both the front-end and back-end layers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient platforms that align with Wykco’s mission.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications for various projects.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for both front-end and back-end systems.
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver innovative solutions.
Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and practices.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years in full-stack software development.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js).
Strong back-end skills with experience in languages like Python, Node.js, Java, or Ruby.
Experience working with databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Comfortable working in a remote-first hybrid environment, with occasional in-person collaboration.
Based in South Africa.
