We are looking for a dedicated IT Administrator to provide critical IT services, setup, and support for our global teams.
The Role
As an IT Administrator, you will manage all IT setup, services, and support functions for Wykco’s globally distributed teams. This includes ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining robust cyber security measures, and addressing IT issues promptly—sometimes during non-working hours. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and a service-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
Manage IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and cloud services, for a globally distributed team.
Ensure robust cybersecurity protocols, conduct regular audits, and stay updated on the latest security measures.
Handle onboarding and offboarding processes, including setup and deactivation of accounts, devices, and access permissions.
Provide technical support for team members across time zones, resolving IT issues promptly.
Monitor and maintain networks, systems, and communication tools to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Work closely with other departments to support specific IT needs for programs, ventures, and operations.
Be available to work flexible hours, including non-working hours when necessary, to support global teams.
Requirements
Experience: 3–5 years in IT administration or a similar role.
Education: Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Expertise in cybersecurity protocols and tools, with hands-on experience in maintaining secure systems.
Proficiency in managing IT infrastructure, cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365), and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
Flexibility to work non-standard hours to support a globally distributed team.
Based in South Africa, with occasional in-person collaboration.
