The Role

As an HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Wykco’s people strategy, from recruitment and onboarding to training and culture development. This role requires a people-first mindset and a passion for creating a collaborative and high-performing workplace. You’ll work across departments globally, ensuring our remote-first hybrid model thrives while fostering a cohesive, forward-thinking company culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global recruitment efforts to attract top talent, ensuring alignment with Wykco’s mission and values.

  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with Wykco’s goals and support a next-generation company culture.

  • Create and manage training and development programs to foster employee growth and career progression.

  • Build and maintain systems to ensure a seamless and engaging onboarding process for new hires.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership, addressing concerns and fostering open communication.

  • Support efforts to build a diverse, inclusive, and resilient workforce.

  • Monitor HR metrics and use data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Stay updated on employment laws and ensure compliance across all regions.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years in HR management or a related role.

  • Education: Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of leading recruitment, onboarding, and culture-building initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements (global HR experience is a plus).

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across a globally distributed team.

  • Experience implementing and managing HR software and tools.

  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for fostering employee engagement and development.

  • Comfortable working in a remote-first hybrid environment, with occasional in-person collaboration.

  • Based in South Africa.
